Brake Disc Manufacturer

Brake discs allow vehicles to stop and slow down. The choice of brake disc manufacturer directly affects your vehicle and your life safety. Especially the wear and tear of brake discs is among the most important issues. Since more than one part directly presses on the disc during operation, their wear rate is generally higher. Therefore, regular maintenance and replacement is important. As soon as the brake pedals are pressed, there is pressure on the tires as a result of the energy generated. The vehicle slows down or stops. The energy generated during the operation of the brake disks is quite high. This high energy contributes to the battery as a charge in hybrid and electric vehicles.

When to Change Brake Discs?

Replacing brake discs at the right times is always important for vehicle users. Before replacing the brake disc, the problem must be identified.

In order to avoid incorrect replacement or repair, a replacement should be made depending on the source of the problem. The pads in the brake part are generally more durable than the disks. As standard, vehicle users can check the brake discs at 40,000 kilometers.

It is also generally recommended to replace brake discs between 60,000 or 70,000 kilometers. When these details are taken into consideration, it is possible to use vehicles in a healthier way. On the other hand, the replacement time may differ depending on the aging of the discs.

Why Brake Disc Warp and Rust?

Warping and rusting can occur in brake disks as a result of certain situations. One of the most important causes of brake disc warping is overheating. If the brake system components are installed incorrectly, it can cause rapid overheating.

If the incorrectly installed pads rub excessively against the brake discs, warping occurs. In order to avoid these situations, the risks must be placed completely carefully when installing.

There may also be rust on the brake disks. If the weather conditions are harsh, rusting may occur due to intense humidity. It would be a good option to have spare equipment in environments where weather conditions are heavily icy or humid.

How is Brake Disc Replacement Performed?

Brake disc replacement is performed with the correct sequence. First of all, the hydraulic cover from the piston to the tank part is loosened. Then, with the help of the caliper body and the disk, the hydraulic piston is pushed backwards. The screw holding the caliper is removed with a torque wrench. The shaft on the upper part is left loose.

After the lower screw part is removed, the caliper is turned upwards and the pads are made empty. There is no need for extra lubrication. The loosened shaft is completely removed. Afterwards, the screws behind the disk are unscrewed and the caliper belt is brought empty.

After the new disc is replaced, the discs are ready for use. After installing and positioning the correct brake disc, a period of healthy and safe use takes place depending on usage. The brake disc should continue to be checked and maintained at certain times.
